And here I am again talking about lock down but with some bright light. The fourth lock down has ended but not the COVID era. Still we are slowly coming out of this lock down phase, with all the fears at hand on the commands of government in the name of economic crisis. Before we step into a totally free world, lets praise the lock-down for its unquestionable charm.
No, not only because it saved us from CORONA ,but a list of rejoicing things which we know but have not yet acknowledged.
As we start, lets start with beautiful mornings . While being busy in our busiest schedules we never appreciated it nor experienced the serenity of breathing in its pleasant weather. After completing our pending sleep of years, most of us started to enjoy the morning breeze either by surya namaskar, silent walks or with some healthy exercise /yog routines for which we never had time earlier.
Nature is at its best these days.Pollution level decreased to a suitable limit, we can breath in an unpolluted environment as vehicles are no where to be seen. Though masks are becoming a trend ,because of completely different reasons. Birds are chirping ,and having flying tournaments in the air. As humans are caged ,animals are free to wander everywhere. They often came searching for us at our windows, when we could only gaze at them, in this situation of us that we can't undo.
Another boon would be the countless moments with family. In the fast life we were living, we usually forget our parents and relations for which we are getting enough time now. We work for the well being and security of the people we love but in the process we got so involved that work becomes the priority. After years we are playing with our family, talking for hours on our favorite topics, trying our hands at cooking and what not. The list is unending as seems the lock down few days back .
Coming back to ourselves, "what does lock down has for one self?" Are we getting enough time for actually sitting straight and thinking ,"If this is the life I always wanted?". The answer is a big NO. We were bound to the the essential household chores after office or in a used to schedule, without thinking. We were just running with the hands of clock. In difference to that we are getting me time these days either in late night or early morning which in turn is taking us back to our old school hobbies. We are again playing badminton/cricket in the veranda like old days or having colored hands by painting whatever we want. We are introspecting and giving time to our mental and physical being. We are planning it out for future and organizing the things at home as we like.
In some way or the other,We ,The people got to understand the importance of life. As we always live for tomorrow, We now know "Today is what we have in our hands." We have never expected ,we will experience this phase in worst of our dreams . But we are all together in this. We acknowledge the fact now " Things planned for tomorrow mostly go in regrets, things done today will be the biggest moments". We are mortal and hence we have to live in a way we do not regret anything at our last breath. So wear that new dress today, Say Sorry or a lovable phrase today to your loved one's because ,win or loss but play today in the game called life.
Last but not the least,we are living by ways we have never imagined. Fighting with Corona ,we fought also with some old mentalities. We are not going to markets, markets are coming to us. Sweets which that were always branded ie from a famous shop or the one in your locality , are now homemade. We are getting enabled with living in minimal settings without giving attention to no purpose branded rantings. We could have never been able to sustain such an environment like this as we used to think but see, we are adjusting, everyone is settling, sooner or later we have learnt to adjust and live with satisfaction with whatever we have .
